The design is very versitle so if you have never embroidered before, you could start with the outlines. You could always add more stiches if you start to feel more confident wit your work. If you are a more advanced embroiderer there are many different stiches to test.
When you order this embroidery kit you will gain access to a private Instagram account with how-to videos and where you can ask questions.
The design is hand-drawn on a vintage linen fabric, sourced from aprons from the 50's. This sustainable fabric is sturdy and flexible, so it's easy to puncture with a needle.
With this kit you'll receive seven warm toned colors of vintage DMC threads. These were bought at an antique market or at vintage stores, I only use DMC threads because they work the easiest and are great quality thread.
This kit also includes an embroidery needle with a big eye so it's easy to use and a 15 cm embroidery hoop. The design is handdrawn onto the fabric and already placed inside the embroidery hoop, so you could start right away!
The fabric used for the packaging are also vintage and differ in almost every kit, since they are leftovers from clothes or scrap pieces.
The estimated time to complete this kit is between 8 - 15 hours, depending on your speed and if you have embroidered before or not. Don't feel discouraged when it takes longer at the beginning, embroidery is truly a slow craft!
